The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association has revised tonight's schedule of games to create a Cape lacrosse doubleheader at Appoquinimink High School in Middletown.

The girls' lacrosse state championship between Cape and Charter originally scheduled for Caravel Academy will be played at Appo at about 8 p.m., following the boys' semifinal game between Cape and Saint Mark's, which begins at 6 p.m.

Tickets sold for the girls' game slated for last night in Dover will be honored.

The girls' championship was supposed to be held May 22, but was postponed until May 27 due to severe weather. Last night, with both teams and many fans in Dover, the contest was again rescheduled.

Tonight's forecast may also create problems. According to The Weather Channel, there is a 60 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms in Middletown from 5 to 11 p.m. Stay tuned to capegazette.com for game updates.

Appoquinimink High School is located at 1080 Bunker Hill Road in Middletown. Those traveling north from the Cape Region should exit Route 1 at the exit for Route 299 and travel west. When Route 299 intersects with Route 301, continue straight onto Bunker Hill Road.
