Paul L Spencer, wonderful family man

Mr. Paul L. Spencer, 48, of Lincoln passed away as a result of a car accident Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Mr. Spencer was born in Lewes to the late Willie Earl Spencer Sr. and Blanche Spencer who survives him.  In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Willie R. Spencer Jr.

Paul was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and always looked at the lighter side of life.  He was a jokester and liked to laugh and make others laugh.  Everybody was his friend.  He was a wonderful son, father, brother and friend who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Paul Levers Jr. “Pops” of Lewes; two sisters, Alice Spencer and Aretha Tunnell of Millsboro; his companion, Michelle Hamilton of Lincoln; sons Darius Chandler, Deatres, Antonio, and Roger Barlow; daughters Krystle Blackwell and Andrea (Ronnie) Anglin; nieces Zena and Cristina Tunnell; nephews Jordan Tunnell and Ja’Den Spencer; and two great-nephews, Jermiah and Jayson Tunnell. Paul also leaves behind 20 grandchildren who all loved him dearly, but one particular granddaughter (YaYa) held a special place in his heart.  He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at noon, Saturday, May 31, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
