Indian River fire company president speaks to Long Neck AARP

Summer picnic set June 25; make reservations by June 20

Patrick Miller, president of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, spoke at the AARP Chapter 4903 luncheon in May. He focused on the frequency and causes of responses by the IR fire department in recent years. Although they are volunteers, each participant trains for a variety of scenarios.

Chapter 4903 next meets for the summer luncheon/presentation Wednesday, June 25, at American Legion Post 28, 31768 Legion Drive, Millsboro. This summer luncheon is a picnic with the famous Tapsations performing their Hawaiian show.  Leis will be provided for all attendees.

Reservations are required and must be made by Friday, June 20.  Cost is $12 for members, $12.50 for nonmembers. For more information and reservations, call Lynn at 302-644-8774 or Mari at 302-684-8485.
