The Delaware Hispanic Commission invites the people of Lewes for a free food tasting of the healthiest meals from the Inca culture, freshly prepared by Peruvian Chef Ambassador Merida Iriarte de la Rosa, who is visiting the U.S. in a food tour.

De la Rosa, who was honored in 2012 with the title of Food Ambassador by the government of Peru, will appear from noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, June 8, at The Net House in Canalfront Park, Lewes.

The event is part of the Community Conversations taking place all over the state of Delaware to celebrate the Latino Community of Delaware. There will also be the opportunity for participants to buy raffle tickets to raise funds for Merida Iriarte de la Rosa to do a food tasting at the Hispanic Heritage Month at the Schwartz Center for the Arts celebration Saturday, Oct. 4. The Oct. 4 event is organized by the Delaware Hispanic Commission in partnership with the Arsht-Cannon Foundation and the Schwartz Center for the Arts in Dover.
