Mary Lee Eagle Harp, loved to travel

Mary Lee (Eagle) Harp, 91, of Pottstown, Pa., widow of Raymond G. Harp Sr., died Monday, June 2, 2014, at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Stowe, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Reuben and Mary Elizabeth (Maute) Eagle. Mrs. Harp was employed as the manager of the Pottstown School District Cafeteria until retiring in 1988. She later worked in the clerical department for the Pottstown VNA. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Pottstown, where she was a former treasurer with the Lutheran Church Women. Mrs. Harp was a member of Schuylkill Chapter 338 Order of Eastern Star. She loved to travel the world and spend her summers at the shore in Long Neck.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Lee Levengood, fiancee of Harold Kepner, of Pottstown; one son Raymond G. Harp Jr., fiance of Kathy Willey, Rehoboth Beach; one sister, Carole E. Rhoades, Douglassville, Pa.; four grandchildren, Tara Elise wife of Melvin Cusick; Sean A. Levengood and his wife Jennifer; Raymond G. Harp III and his wife Courtney; and Jonathan M. Harp and his wife Katie; and 10 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law William Schmoyer; and sister-in-law Nancy Weaver. She was predeceased by a half brother, Raymond R. Richards; a half sister Janice Schmoyer; three stepbrothers, George, Donald and R. Douglass Weaver; and one stepsister Arlene Ludwig.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday June 7, from St. Peters Lutheran Church, 564 Glasgow St., Pottstown. Officiating will be the Rev. John Smolik. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Pottstown. There will be a viewing from 10 until 11:15 a.m., with services by Schuylkill Chapter Order of Eastern Star to follow.

Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown.
