Over Memorial Day weekend, the Henlopen Soccer Piranhas became U-11 Division Champions at the 2014 Pocono Cup Tournament. This was a hard-won success after a very difficult spring season. On the fields in Delaware Water Gap, Pa., the boys played four games over two days.
The final game against the West Hempsted Chiefs Seminoles from New York ended in a 2-2 tie, forcing a penalty kick shootout to determine the winner and division champion. Piranhas were able to score all five shots while the Chiefs Seminoles made only four of their five.
