William E. Arterbridge II, truck driver

Mr. William E. Arterbridge II, 65, of Millsboro, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014.

Mr. Arterbridge was born June 22, 1948, in Wilmington, to the late Leroy and Dorothy Cole Arterbridge. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

He was a self-employed truck driver. William was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of AMVets and was a volunteer driver at the Christian Store House. He was a quiet man who enjoyed boating and spending time with his children.

He is survived by a son, William E. Arterbridge III, and a daughter, Maryann Arterbridge, both of Millsboro; and an ex-wife Dinah Arterbridge of Millsboro. He is also survived by his canine companion, Delilah as well as extended family members and friends.

A chapel service was held Monday, June 9, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Burial with military honors followed.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the family to help offset funeral expenses to William E. Arterbridge, III, P.O. Box 453, Millsboro, DE 19966, or the Home of the Brave Veterans Home, 6632 Sharps Rd, Milford, DE 19963.
