Nanticoke is pleased to announce Marcy Columna as May’s Employee of the Month. Marcy started her career at Nanticoke nearly 16 years ago after graduating from Delaware Technical and Community College with an AA degree in Respiratory Therapy. During her time at Nanticoke she has been an integral part of the growth and expansion of the Respiratory Therapy Department.

Marcy is known for her smile and friendliness to all she encounters at Nanticoke. Her commitment to customer service is well noticed not only by her patients but all staff she interacts with on a daily basis. Marcy is a strong resource for her coworkers and is always available when they are in need. Three years ago she took on the additional responsibility of supervisor in the department assuming the position of a charge therapist. She has played an integral role along with resource management in developing a COPD Readmission Protocol. This protocol helps prevent 30 day readmissions by providing better education and instruction to patients with COPD.

Marcy is a proud mother of 4 and has been married to her husband John for 13 years. During her free time she will usually be found in her hometown of Laurel watching her children’s numerous sporting events. She also enjoys camping and spending time outdoors with her family. Her family, friends, and co-workers are proud of all her accomplishments and wish to congratulate her on being named Employee of the Month.
