Leah A. Jensen, CHEER center member
Leah A. Jensen, 79, of Frankford, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
She was born in Clearville, Pa., May 16, 1935, daughter of the late Hillery and O. Ruth (Howsare) Roberts. Leah was a very active member of the Roxana United Methodist Church and the Roxana CHEER Center. She enjoyed needlepoint and clipping coupons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Jensen in 1993. She is survived by two brothers, Floyd W. Roberts and his wife Ruthanna of Everett, Pa. and Richard D. Roberts of Illinois; a nephew, Jeffrey Roberts and his wife Wendy of Haywood, Calif.; a niece, Brenda Bloom of Everett; and a great-nephew, Wayne and a great niece, Katelyn.
A funeral service will be held at noon, Saturday, June 21, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, where friends and family may call after 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Roxana Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Leah’s name to the Roxana United Methodist, 35901 Zion Church Road, Frankford, DE 19945, or the Roxana CHEER Center, 34314 Pyle Center Road, Frankford, DE 19945.
