Betty J. Robbins, H&H Poultry retiree

Betty J. Robbins, 74, of Dagsboro, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014, after a six-year battle from kidney failure and leukemia.

She was born in Bellhaven, Va. in 1939. Betty was the daughter of the late Norman and Dorothy Kellam. After high school, she married Dallas Robbins in 1960 and they moved to Sussex County.

Betty worked for H&H Poultry in Selbyville for 24 years. Betty enjoyed and looked forward to the family get-togethers with dinners and going to the slots.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Dallas Robbins Nov. 18, 1992. She is survived by a brother Donnie Kellam and his wife Joyce of Dagsboro; two nieces, Tammy (Dean) Mitchell of Ocean View, Lisa (Barry) Hastings of Seaford; and a nephew, Bill (Dana) Kellam of Gumboro; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 25, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, where family and friends may visit from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Millsboro Cemetery in Millsboro.
