A full day of fun-filled family activities celebrated the Fourth of July in Milton's Memorial Park July 5 after the nasty weather of hurricane Arthur brought about the Independence Day festivities postponement.

This year's theme, “Bringing Mayberry Back to Milton,” brought out the hometown crowd as well as visitors from around Delmarva to enjoy old time games, good food and great down home fun.

Activities included a dunk tank, sack races, pie-baking contest and many kids games.  A highlight of the event was a bike decorating contest and bike parade sponsored by Irish Eyes Pub. Music by "Oh Boy" entertained the crowd in attendance.
