Seth E. Bratten, the man also known as the highway dancer, was slightly injured July 7 when police say he ran into the back of a truck.

Bratten, 22, of Rehoboth Beach was crossing Route 1, from east to west, about 1 p.m. near the Seaside Outlets, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.

Bratten darted into a lane and did not see a box truck because an SUV was blocking his sight, Fournier said. The box truck swerved and struck a curb; Bratten then ran into the back of the truck, he said.

Bratten was treated and released from Beebe Healthcare for minor injuries. He was cited for failing to yield the right of way to vehicles.

Bratten frequently dances along Route 1, sometimes holding signs advertising local businesses.

Fournier said he did not know whether Bratten was dancing at the time.
