Southern Delaware Tourism Board of Directors installs new chairperson

The Southern Delaware Tourism Board of Directors installed Nikky Fisher of the Lewes Chamber of Commerce as its 2014-16 chairperson at its July 8 meeting in Georgetown. The board is composed of representatives from all Sussex County chambers of commerce. At the meeting, a tribute from Gov. Jack Markell and Lt. Gov. Matt Denn was presented to Marie Mayor of Milton Chamber of Commerce in recognition of her leadership as board chairperson for 2012-14.

The mission of the board is to support and encourage sustainable, year-round tourism that contributes to the economic growth and quality of life in Sussex County. The Southern Delaware Tourism Board uses promotional campaigns including Beaches are Just the Beginning, Come to the Culinary Coast...Life Tastes Better Here, and Land, Water or Air. More reasons to get out there, as well as the Local on the Menu program and other initiatives to promote and publicize all southern Delaware has to offer potential visitors.
