Delmarva Free to Breathe Run/Walk set Aug. 10

The community is invited to gather for a day of impact Sunday, Aug. 10, at the Delmarva Free to Breathe Run/Walk at Cape Henlopen High School on Kings Highway in Lewes. The inspirational event will feature a 5K run/walk and 1-mile walk for all fitness levels, with awards for top fundraisers.

Registration and check-in begin at 6 a.m. An opening rally comes at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 5K run/walk at 8, the 1-mile walk at 8:15 and the kids' dash at 9:30. A closing rally is scheduled for 9:45.

All proceeds from the event support Free to Breathe, a nonprofit lung cancer research and advocacy organization dedicated to ensuring surviving lung cancer is the expectation, not the exception.
