William R. Pascoe, retired manager

William R. Pascoe, 83, of Bethany Beach, formerly of Flanders, N.J., passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

William, known as Bill, served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired as general manager and corporate secretary for Strahman Valves,Inc. in 1997 after 40 years of service. In retirement, Bill enjoyed surf fishing, pinochle and activities with the Ocean View Senior Singles group as well as attending functions sponsored by Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church, of which he was a member.

He was preceded in death by his wife Priscilla P. Pascoe in 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Stacy Karwacki and her husband, Barry, of Baltimore, Md.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 17,  at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, where friends and family may call after 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Mariner’s Bethel Cemetery in Ocean View.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Bill’s name to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963, or The Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L Street, NW, Washington, DC 20037.
