Kenneth R. Lemaire, A&P retiree

Kenneth R. Lemaire, 74, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was born May 17, 1940, in Rehoboth Beach,  son of the late Arny and May (Punot) Lemaire.

Mr. Lemaire was a native of Rehoboth Beach, who graduated from Rehoboth Beach High School in 1958. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-63. Following his honorable discharge, Mr. Lemaire embarked on a 25-year career with the A & P Company, retiring as a produce manager. He was also a large fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lemaire was preceded in death by one son and a brother, Roland Lemaire. He is survived by his two daughters, Sharon Lemaire of Millsboro and Karen Lemaire and her husband Ralph W. Foskey III of Lewes; one brother, Albert "Reds" Lemaire of Lewes; two sisters, Geraldine Purdy of Angola and Dolores Donahue of Lewes; and two grandchildren, Devin Miller and Ralph W. Foskey IV.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 23, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, with military honors at 8 p.m. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Lemaire's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
