Delaware Hospice welcomes new vice president of development

Delaware Hospice announces the appointment of Sue Bernetich, CFRE, of Wilmington to the position of vice president of development.

President and CEO Susan Lloyd said, “We are pleased to have Sue Bernetich in this role. Delaware Hospice will benefit from her extensive knowledge of fundraising as well as a commitment and comprehensive understanding of our organization.”

Bernetich will have statewide responsibilities for all of Delaware Hospice’s development activities.

Bernetich joined Delaware Hospice four years ago in the position of associate director of individual giving. Prior to that, she served in various development positions for not-for-profit organizations in Delaware, including the Delaware Community Foundation, Delaware Museum of Natural History, Bayard House and the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts. Bernetich earned global fundraising executive certification in 2012.

Bernetich said, “I am honored and excited to assume this new role in a leadership position with Delaware Hospice. The positive feedback from our families affirms the value of its services and the high level of care provided by our exceptional staff. I look forward to continuing to support its worthwhile mission through our partnerships with members of the community.”
