A two-car crash Thursday, July 24, ended up in the front parking lot of Tyndall's furniture store in Nassau.
Bruce S. Phalen, 84, of Lewes was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Route 1 at 8:38 a.m. approaching Old Mill Road when another car pulled in front of him, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.
LaToya Conquest, 19, of Lewes was driving a 2007 Pontiac G6 southbound on Route 1 when she tried to cross over the northbound lanes to Old Mill Road, Fournier said.
Phalen struck the right side of her car, pushing both vehicles into the parking lot of Tyndall's furniture store on Route 1. The cars also pushed a table into the front of the store, Fournier said.
Both drivers were taken to Beebe Healthcare where they were treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.
Conquest was cited for failure to remain stopped.
