Easter Seals kicks off Walk with Me

Expectations high for second annual event
August 14, 2014

Supporters gathered on a beautiful sunny afternoon as Easter Seals Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore officially kicked off its second annual Walk With Me event July 23 in Georgetown.

The walk is one of three events offered by Easter Seals Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore to raise money for their centers, which provide child development programs, physical rehabilitation and job training for people with disabilities, among others.

“It’s a great venue for people to get out and socialize with one another,” said Steve Tull, whose 28 year-old son Stevie has been a beneficiary of Easter Seals since he was 6 months old. “It helps build a better awareness in the community,” Tull said.

Walk With Me will take place at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 19, at Baywood Greens at 3:00 p.m. Anyone interested in donating or participating in Walk With Me should call the Georgetown Easter Seals main office at 302-253-1100.
