Young music star Sammy Arriaga joins Love and Theft Aug. 14 in Dewey

Following the release of his debut single “Lighter Up,” Cuban-American country crooner Sammy Arriaga has been hitting the road with big-name country acts including Trace Adkins, Cassadee Pope, Corey Smith, and Love and Theft.

Arriaga will open for the ACM-nominated duo Love and Theft Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Rusty Rudder.

Arriaga is scheduled to kick off the performance at 9 p.m. His new EP, which features “Lighter Up,” is produced by Grammy Award winner Keith Stegall, who is also known for his work with the Zac Brown Band, Alan Jackson and Randy Travis.

Tickets are $23. Audience members must be 21 or older. The Rusty Rudder is at 113 Dickinson Ave. in Dewey Beach; phone 302-227-3888.
