Millsboro man breaks in, makes crab cakes

Well, this is one way to cook a seafood dinner.

Stephen Quinn, 41, of Millsboro, was arrested by Rehoboth Beach police July 31 for breaking into Planet X Café, 35 Wilmington Ave. Police said Quinn was found in the kitchen area cooking crab cakes and was in possession of a bottle of alcohol stolen from the restaurant. Quinn had entered the restaurant at around 1:30 a.m. by breaking the front glass door.

Upon being seen by officers, Quinn tried to flee the scene by breaking through the rear door, but he was quickly arrested in the rear alley.

Quinn was charged with burglary, theft under $1,500, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Quinn was imprisoned at Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $2,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in the Court of Common Pleas in Georgetown Friday, Aug. 8.
