Summons issued in underage party at country club home

August 1, 2014

A 37-year-old Rehoboth Beach woman faces charges after agents say she was present while juveniles had a party in a Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club home.

Agents with the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement responded to a complaint of a loud party 1:15 a.m. Aug. 1 at 110 Cornwall Road in the country club development, said John Yeomans, director of the Delaware Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement.

Yeomans said a large group of juveniles was having a party and consuming alcoholic beverages on the premises. Several juveniles ran away when agents arrived, he said.

Agents contacted Diana Hamer, who was house-sitting for a relative at the home. Yeomans said she was charged with providing alcohol to a minor and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was released on a criminal summons.

Three juveniles, ages 14, 16 and 17 were charged with underage consumption of alcohol. They were released to the custody of their parents or guardians.
