Leo Albert Majors Jr., Orioles, Ravens fan

Leo "Lee" Albert Majors Jr., 73, of Millsboro, died Thursday, July 31, 2014, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

Leo was born in Baltimore, Md. and graduated from Patterson Park High School in Baltimore, and from Loyola University, also in Baltimore.

For most of his life, Leo worked as an executive in the food and beverage packaging industry. Leo enjoyed his work and the great friends he made. Leo travelled throughout the United States for work and made friends wherever he went. Leo retired from Ball Corp. in 2006. Leo served in the National Guard for 12 years and was an active member of the American Legion.

Leo is survived by, Elayne, his wife of 51 years; his daughters, Colleen Majors and Mary Olsen; son-in-law John Olsen; and his grandchildren, Casey, Peter and Gregory Olsen. Leo is survived by his brothers, Michael and Paul. His sister, Bernadette, predeceased him.

In addition to his family, Leo’s great loves were golfing and playing gin rummy with his many friends and watching and talking about sports. Leo never missed an Orioles or a Ravens game and he never forgave the Colts for leaving Baltimore. Leo loved telling (and re-telling) stories and bad jokes to his grandchildren and anyone else he could get to listen to him.

Visitation will be held at St. Jude the Apostle, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by Mass at 11 a.m.
