Cape senior center officials accountable

August 7, 2014

The Cape Henlopen Senior Center receives more than $211,000 in state grants.

When my relative was a volunteer there, the center was a welcoming place with a friendly, helpful staff. Now I read of a governing board that ignores its own by-laws and an executive director whose actions have resulted in complaints to the state labor board.

Both the board of directors and the executive director need to give an accounting of their stewardship, not only to the center’s members but also to the taxpayers of Delaware.
