The Rehoboth Beach Historical Society held its ninth annual Beach Ball Aug. 2. I want to thank the Rehoboth Beach community for again making this event one of the most popular local functions as well as one of the most successful local fundraisers. The funds raised will be used for exhibits, educational programming and to supplement the Rehoboth Beach Museum’s operating budget.
This event would not be possible without the overwhelming generosity of our local community. I would like to thank our many local sponsors as well as our silent and live auction donors for being so supportive and generous. Additionally, I would like to thank the more than 300 members of our community that attended and enjoyed the event Saturday evening.
And last but not least, I would to like to thank all of the Beach Ball Committee members and its Co-chairs Valerie Evans and Anne Michele Kuhns, for their efforts in making this occasion such a wonderful annual event. The endless hours put in by all of the members of the committee were so important to its success. This event is invaluable to the museum’s continuous operation and this amazing group of individuals continues to give so much to enhance our community’s history.
If you haven’t had a chance to visit this summer’s exhibit “Crusin’ ” please stop into the museum and see what everyone is talking about.
Please mark your calendars for our 10th Annual Beach Ball, to held August 1, 2015. Based upon this year’s crowd, it may be an early sellout. We hope to see you there
