Charity Car Show Aug. 17 at Pizzadili Winery in Felton

As many as 300 of the area's best show cars will take part in the sixth annual Wheels and Wine Charity Car Show Sunday, Aug. 17. They will be joined by 45 craft vendors participating in the Vendors at the Vineyard craft expo at the scenic Pizzadili Winery in Felton. Popular local band Skinny Leg Pete will be on hand as will be DJ Jen Tunis and her line dancers. Food, drink and winery tours will be available.

The event benefits Debbie's Fund for Animals, a Delaware charity that supports animal shelter groups in Kent and Sussex, some of which will be on hand to talk about all the critical services they provide. First State Animal Center - SPCA will be looking to promote its participation in the $100,000 Rachel Ray Challenge. Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue and Josie's Place Cat Rescue will be there talking about pet population control and adoption. Changing Fates Equine Rescue will feature its work with horses. Greyhounds of Delaware will also be on hand.

Show vehicle registration is $15. General admission is free, but donations are very much appreciated.  Pizzadili Winery is at 168 Peach Basket Road, Felton. The event runs 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Call 302-424-1504 or go to www.debbiesfund.com.
