Mary Malloy Cina, devout Catholic

Mary (Malloy) Cina, 94, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014,of respiratory failure at Renaissance Nursing Home.

She was born March 6, 1920, in Mt. Savage, Md., and spent most of her life in Takoma Park, Md. She moved to Bridgeville from Beltsville, Md. in 1988 where she was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Seaford. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Stephen A. Cina in 1998.

She is survived by four children, David (Mary) Cina of Falls Church, Va., James (Susan) Cina of Bridgeville, Marguerite Bowman of Chester, Md. and Stephanie Cina of Bridgeville; and a brother, William D. Malloy of Washington, D.C. She also leaves six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws St., Bridgeville, Sunday, Aug. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:15 a.m., Monday, Aug. 11, , at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 528 East Stein Hwy, Seaford, with interment at 2 p.m., at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, Md.
