John W. Rischitell, enjoyed quarter horses

Mr. John W. Rischitell, 61, of Lewes, passed away as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014.

John was born August 28, 1952, in Charleroi, Pa. to the late Dominic and Dorothy Rischitelli.

He was a truck driver for the Rock Pile. John was past president of the Delaware Quarter Horse Association. He bred show horses and enjoyed watching his daughter Jenna show her horses. He also raised Vizsla show dogs. (Hungarian hunting dogs) and liked fishing with his family. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Renee Rischitelli of Lewes; three children, Rachel Rischitelli and her fiancé Kevin Myslak of Pittsburgh, Pa., Nicholas Hill of Smyrna and Jenna Rischitelli of Lewes; one brother, Gary Rischitelli and his wife Debbie of Oregon and a granddaughter, Zarah Hill.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Bethel Tabernacle Church, 34180 Omar Road, Frankford.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in John’s memory to Lighthouse Christian School, 28157 Lighthouse Crossing, Dagsboro, DE 19939.
