Arlene A. Tagliente, loved raising family

Arlene A. Taglienti, 82, of Ocean View, formerly of Cedar Grove, N.J., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Oct. 3, 1931, daughter of the late John and Helen (Marshall) Lauchaire. Arlene was a graduate of the Lasell Junior College in Newton, Mass. Arlene had worked as an administrative assistant, but her true vocation in life was raising her family.

She attended the Ocean View CHEER Center where she would be found playing mahjong. Arlene was also an avid bowler and golfer, a dog lover and enjoyed living near the ocean.

She is survived by five children, Janice Hubbard and her husband Edward of Severna Park, Md., Frank Taglienti and his wife Mary of Severna Park, John Taglienti and his wife Lucy of Moorestown, N.J., Thomas Taglienti and his wife Lisa of Hackensack, N.J. and Daniel Taglienti and his wife Eileen of Selbyville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jenna and Ashley Hubbard, Frank, Christine, John, Carly, Thomas and Joseph Taglienti; a brother, David Lauchaire and his wife Maureen of Florida; and her beloved dog, Buffy.

On Wednesday, Aug. 13, friends and family may visit from 11 a.m. to noon at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View. Immediately following that at noon, there will be a prayer service at the chapel. Interment will be held privately.
