Nanticoke golf tourneys set Sept. 18-19 in Bridgeville

August 26, 2014

Nanticoke Health Services will host the 6th annual Ladies Day golf tournament Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Heritage Shores Club in Bridgeville. The tournament planning committee has been very busy planning a day of fun for a good cause.

The tournament, open to all lady golfers and participants, will offer 18 holes of golf at Heritage Shores Club, several specialty opportunities during the round of play, delicious food, and team prizes for gross and net scores. A full field of participants is expected.

Players will have numerous chances to test their skills by competing in contests for longest drive, closest to the pink cross, the pursuit of the perfect drive, and a hole-in-one. Participants will have the opportunity to putt through a three-step qualifying round, and one individual will putt for $1,000.

The Ladies Day tournament proceeds will benefit Nanticoke’s Emergency Room Expansion Project.

This year’s tournament will once again feature the PINK Links program. The golf ball-shaped signs honor, memorialize or celebrate loved ones and are available for a donation of $25 per sign.

Golfer entry fees are $85 per player and $340 for a foursome on Thursday. Sponsorships packages are available.

The hospital will host the 28th annual Open Golf Tournament Friday, Sept. 19.
