Dewey's movies and bonfires on the beach run through Aug. 27

Family movies and bonfires on the beach in Dewey are in their final two weeks of the season. Movies start at approximately 8:30 p.m. on the beach at Dagsworthy Avenue.  Remaining screenings include Monday, Aug. 18 - "Despicable Me 2"; Tuesday, Aug. 19 - "Frozen"; and Monday, Aug. 25 - "Planes."

Bring the family, beach chair and some marshmallows to the beach at Dagsworthy Avenue from 7:30 to 11 p.m., Wednesdays for a bonfire.The last two bonfires are scheduled for Aug. 20 and 27.

Stay current with what’s happening at the chamber - like on Facebook or download an app available through the Apple App Store or on Google Play.

All metered and permit spaces are free Monday to Wednesday, 5 to 11 p.m.. These events are weather dependent. Notice of cancellation will be posted at the Dewey Beach Life Saving Station bulletin board. Staff will notify Dewey Beach accommodations of cancellations made prior to the start of an event. If weather is clear, events will take place as scheduled, but may end at any time due to weather conditions.
