August 25, 2014

Delaware State Police are searching for a woman they say robbed the Sunglass Hut at Tanger Outlets Seaside.

The woman entered the store at 8:40 p.m. Aug. 23 and began trying on sunglasses, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.

She then approached the counter and implied that she had a weapon and she demanded cash, Fournier said.

The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of money; the woman fled with the cash and a pair of sunglasses toward the Junction and Breakwater Trail, which runs behind the outlets, Fournier said.

The woman is described as white, 18-29 years old, 4-feet-11-inches to 5-feet-8-inches tall, wearing dark-colored clothing with a black and white backpack.
