Rev. Accola P. Horsey, Methodist minister

The Rev. Accola P. Horsey, 74, of Milford,was born Saturday, March 16, 1940, in Allen, Md. She departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

She was preceded in death by her father James Rollo Jones Sr.; her mother, Gladys Jones; and her sister, Ella May Nichols. She is survived by her husband, William R. Horsey Jr.; four children, Edwin Jones (Diane) of Bowie, Md., Rosezine Marshall (Kevin Sr.) of Milford, William R. Horsey III (Zulieka) of Easton, Md., Tyvon Horsey of Trappe, Md.; two stepchildren, Regina Bradshaw of Temple Hills, Md., Kenneth Person (Linda) of Ellendale; two whom she considered her children, Jonathan Russ (Anitra) of Dover, and Michelle Skinner of Easton; seven siblings, James R. Jones Jr. (Doris) of Salisbury, Md., Shelby Jones Barkley of Lincoln, Marion Jones (Martha) of Baltimore, Md., Wallace Jones (Joan) of New Castle, Lottie Jones Thompson of Glen Burnie, Md., Otto Jones (Terri) of Columbia, S.C., and Alexine Cornish of Salisbury; one foster sister, Henrietta Cook of Salisbury; eight grandchildren, Phillip, Jasmine, Kevin Jr., Isaiah, Jordan, Aleshia, Shontay'a and Antonio; two great-grandchildren, Giovanni and Jahiem; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The viewings will be held 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, Aug. 25, 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Aug. 26,  with her Homegoing service at noon, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 23115 Slaughter Neck Road, Lincoln.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Metropolitan United Methodist Church, 109 West St., Harrington Delaware 19952.
