Park Road in Lewes is now open for through traffic. The road underwent a major realignment and resurfacing, and a new shared-use pedestrian/bicycle path was added. Some minor clean-up work remains, but that work can be completed with closures or temporary closures of a lane, Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation officials said.

Park Road connects New Road and Pilottown Road and is commonly used as an alternative route to the University of Delaware’s College of Earth, Ocean and Environment/Hugh R. Sharp Campus, the Lewes public boat ramp, U.S. Coast Guard Station and Lewes Dairy, as well as other businesses and residences along Pilottown Road.
