Mediacom adds Big Ten Network to cable lineup

Mediacom Communications Corporation has announced that its customers in Delaware and Maryland now have access to the Big Ten Network sports channel as a new arrival to both standard and HD Family Cable lineups. The channel addition was made in the past few days to ensure viewing access to the University of Maryland’s football season-opener Aug. 30 versus James Madison University.

Sports fans with a Mediacom Family Cable subscription will find BTN on channel 67 in standard definition when connected to a digital adapter or digital receiver (cable box); or on frequency 55-3 when connected directly to a digital-ready TV (no cable box). BTN HD is at channel 832.

Throughout the college football season, BTN will televise multiple Saturday games featuring Big Ten Conference teams, typically with kick-off times at noon ET and 3:30 p.m. ET. Operating 24/7, the BTN showcases a wide array of classic-to-current sports produced by the network and by the conference’s 14 member institutions.

In addition to fall football games, the network produces regular-season men’s basketball games, women’s basketball games, dozens of Big Ten Championships, and multiple programs that include interviews and analysis pertaining to Big Ten Conference teams and coaches.
