Brews by the Bay slated at Cape May, Lewes ferry terminals Sept. 6

Brews By The Bay, sponsored by the Garden State and Delaware Brewers guilds, is two festivals in two states combined into one incredible beer event, Saturday, Sept. 6. Brews by the Bay will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at the Cape May Ferry Terminal and from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewes Ferry Terminal.

The Garden State Guild and Delaware Craft Brewers Guild are 501c6 not-for-profit organizations that exist to unify the New Jersey-Delaware brewing community. Their mission is to protect, promote, represent, and educate members and customers.

Delaware breweries will stay in Delaware. New Jersey breweries will stay in New Jersey. There will be local food, live music and fun for all ages.

Tickets will be sold for each individual side or as a combo ticket for both sides. A combo ticket includes a round trip foot passenger ferry ticket.

• Flying Fish

• Kane

• Carton

• Rinn Duin

• Glasstown

• Cricket Hill

Delaware participating breweries include:

• 16 Mile

• Dogfish Head

• Fordham/Old Dominion

• Iron Hill

• Stewarts

• Twin Lakes

• 3rd Wave Brew Company

• Argilla Brewing Company

• Mispillion River Brewing

Tickets will be available at the gates, but they will be $45 ($40 online) so get them ahead of time. Food vendors will be onsite for sales; bring cash for food.

Don't forget a blanket and chairs! Ticket holders get a souvenir glass and unlimited pours. Be sure to drink responsibly.
