Flex World Fitness announces expansion, relocation for 2015

October 27, 2014

Flex World Fitness is on the move with a renovation and relocation project that will allow Georgetown’s local gym to double in size and better serve its customers from all over Sussex County.

Tentatively set for January 2015, Flex World Fitness will move 1 mile south to the former Fresh Pride space in the Georgetown Plaza shopping center, at the corner of U.S. 113 (DuPont Boulevard) and U.S. 9 (County Seat Highway) in Georgetown. The new space will have more than 10,000 square feet of workout space for members and guests.

Some of the highlights of the new facility will be additional cardio equipment, larger weight and circuit weight training areas, expanded aerobics/spin rooms, childcare, personal training, tanning, nutritional counseling, Fit After 50 programs, boot camps, wellness products and much more.

After just seven years of getting to know the community and successfully reshaping lives, Flex World has grown to the point that the current 5,000-square-foot building is no longer adequate for customer needs.

“This move will give Flex World’s customers everything they could want or need from a fitness center. It will be the same great gym with the personalized family feeling everyone loves - just more of it!” said Heidi Helou, manager/co-owner of Flex World Fitness. “We can’t wait, and we know our clients are just as excited, too.”

Flex World Fitness offers personal trainers who teach clients at their skill level; nutritional counseling with a certified fitness nutrition expert;  aerobics instructors; Fit After 50 Programs for older members; and specialized programs including Pilates, yoga, Zumba, and balance classes.

Flex World Fitness offers monthly and yearly memberships as well as daily access with a variety of affordable price plans. Special discount rates are available for senior citizens, students, and well as state, county and municipal employees.
