TOWN OF
HENLOPEN ACRES
All candidates for Town Commissioner shall file their notice of intention to seek office with the Town Manager or Mayor of the Town of Henlopen Acres on or before 4:30 PM on Friday, July 11, 2008.

For the election of 2008, voters will be electing three candidates to the Board of Commissioners. The Charter of the Town of Henlopen Acres requires that a majority of Commissioners be bona fide residents of the Town. There is no maximum limit of resident Commissioners. Accordingly, prospective candidates will be requested to file their intent to run as a resident or nonresident Commissioner.

The annual election for the Town of Henlopen Acres will be held on SATURDAY, AUGUST 30, 2008. Polls will be open from 9:00 AM - 12:00 NOON at Town Hall, 104 Tidewaters, Henlopen Acres, DE. Anyone interested in obtaining an absentee ballot packet should contact Town Hall (302) 227-6411). The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot to be sent by mail is Tuesday, August 26, 2008 not later than 4:30 PM. Absentee ballots must be received at Town Hall no later than 12:00 noon on Friday, August 29, 2008.

CANALFRONT PARK MARINA
SEASONAL BOAT SLIP
AVAILABILITY

The City of Lewes is please to announce the availability of one (1) seasonal boat slip at the Canalfront Park from August 1, 2008 through November 30, 2008. The slip can accommodate a boat up to 55 feet in length and a beam of 16 feet. The rental fee for the slip shall be $1,425.

Those individuals that reside and own property within the Corporate City Limits of Lewes may submit a single registration to participate in this lottery.

Registration forms can be obtained at Lewes City Hall during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM) or on the City website at www.ci.lewes.de.us. Registration forms must be submitted to Lewes City Hall, Attn: City Manager, PO Box 227, 114 E. Third Street, Lewes, DE 19958 by Friday, July 11, 2008 at 4:00 PM.

The drawing to award will be conducted at the Monday, July 14, 2008 Mayor & City Council meeting and notification of the results shall be made following the drawing and posted on the City’s website. Payment in full is required by August 1, 2008.

All boat owners must comply with the Operations & Maintenance Plan (O&M Plan) as approved by DNREC and accepted by the Mayor & City Council.

CITY/BOARD ENGINEERING CONSULTANT

The City of Lewes (City) and its utility (water, wastewater, storm water and electric) subsidiary, the Board of Public Works (Board) are requesting a statement of qualifications and a proposal from engineering firms qualified to provide municipal engineering services. The City/Board desires to retain the services of a professional civil engineering firm to perform various Municipal Engineering Consultant (Consultant) services as described throughout this Request for Qualifications and Proposal. Sealed qualifications and proposal must be received by the Board of Public Works on or before July 18, 2008, at 3:00 PM by the General Manager in City Hall located at 114 E. Third Street, Lewes, Delaware. The award of the contract shall be made after evaluation by the Evaluation Committee and by resolution of both of the governing bodies (City and Board). The Engineer must be a registered professional engineer in the State of Delaware and must have previous successful experience as a municipal engineer.
