A seven-day Caribbean cruise package for two valued at more than $2,500 is one of three prizes that can be won in a raffle that is part of Beebe Medical Foundation’s 16th annual “Best of the Beach” Art Auction Dinner and Dance event.
Even those who do not attend the gala fundraiser on June 11 at the hospital grounds in Lewes still have a chance to win one of the three prizes. Tickets can now be purchased from Beebe Medical Foundation, and proceeds will go toward both Beebe Medical Center’s Vision 2005 Capital Campaign and to Rehoboth Art League’s Outreach Program for minority communities.

The raffle is part of the ongoing plans and preparations for the annual event. A pregala Derby Party with beverages, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment has been scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, May 7. It will be hosted by Jennifer and Mark Robino at their home in the Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club. Tickets are $50 per person.
The Art Auction Dinner and Dance will take place from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 11, in a tent on the hospital grounds. About 800 people are expected. The cost of the tickets is $150 per person.
Proceeds will go toward the expansion of Beebe’s Emergency Department under the VISION 2005 Capital Campaign, and to the Rehoboth Art League’s Outreach Program for minority communities.
Invitations to Best of the Beach are being mailed this week. As with last year, Beebe Medical Foundation anticipates an early sell-out, and suggests that people return their reservations as soon as possible. Save the Date cards were mailed April 1. However, many cards were returned to the foundation because of the postal system’s 911 compliance 5-digit address changes. Those who expected to receive a Save the Date card but did not should contact the foundation to make sure the foundation has their correct address.
Those interested in purchasing raffle tickets, attending the Pregala Derby Party, or the Best of the Beach event should contact Eric Davison by telephone at 644-2951, Ext. 10, or by email at edavison@bbmc.org.
