The Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre will officially announce the 2008 season schedule at a reception at Fish On restaurant in Lewes.
The event, “Spring into Play,” will take place 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 4. A delightful array of delicacies from the Fish On kitchen will be served. In addition to food and beverages, there will be a silent auction. The proceeds from the evening will benefit the theatre’s 27th season of shows.
“Spring into Play” has been organized by the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre Board of Directors with Gina Derrickson leading the way and Matt Haley, owner of Fish On, acting as the evening’s host. Other board members assisting in the preparation include Nathalie Willard, Tammy Dunn, Susie Mitchell, Alix Robinson, Liz Barnhart and Jenny Steen-Baker.
Tickets to the program are $40. They can be purchased or reserved by calling Derrickson at 302-542-6321. Fish On is located in the Village of Five Points in Lewes.
The Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre is a nonprofit theatre staging shows designed for the whole family. This professional company specializes in two-actor productions of classic stories.
The 2008 season will featuring four plays on a rotating schedule throughout the summer. “Peter Pan,” ”Puss in Boots,” “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and “Snow White” will run from June 24 to Aug. 25. In addition there will be two weeklong camps for kids; Film & TV Camp runs July 14-18, and the Create-A-Play Theatre Camp goes Aug. 11-15.
