Training and consulting expertise valued by Fortune 100 companies is now available in Delaware. Three two-hour workshops are being held at local businesses over the next few months and are offered to business owners in the Cape Region who want to run their businesses more effectively.
Hiring & Managing Seasonal Employees will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 20, at Creatable Crafts, 146 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Attendees will learn basic interviewing and hiring skills along with simple techniques to help train and manage seasonal employees. Participants will learn how to minimize undesirable employee behavior - such as lateness, absenteeism or sloppy attire - and learn how to create a consistent business image and level of service for customers from season to season.
Effective Communications will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 3, at Carolyn Watson Photography Studio, 720 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Participants will discover how to communicate more successfully with customers, employees and vendors.
Communicating - whether written or spoken - is frequently the difference between business growth and business lost. Many factors come into play like ethnicity, gender, language, personality, and age, but there are some reliable ways to ensure that all parties communicate clearly and the business doesn’t suffer because of misunderstandings.
Contract Negotiations will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 8, at Gallery Fifty, 50 Wilmington Ave., Rehoboth Beach. This class will offer basic tips on how to successfully negotiate more favorable terms on a contract.
The fee for each workshop is $35 per person. Registration and payment guarantees a seat. Seating is limited, so early registration is suggested.
