Delaware Comedy Theatre (DCT), formed in spring 2005, is a nonprofit theatre company bringing professional comedy improvisation training and performance to the Lewes, Rehoboth and Dewey Beach areas. “It’s always been important for us to fulfill our nonprofit mission by giving back to the community. We perform at no charge quite frequently both downstate and upstate,” Warick said. DCT has performed or given free workshops at numerous benefits and community events for such organizations as Children’s Beach House, Rehoboth Elementary School, the YMCA Swim Club and the Jefferson School.
Its new franchise, DCT North, serves the Wilmington, Newark and Hockessin areas. Both groups have performed in several prestigious regional festivals in Philadelphia, Baltimore and North Carolina. For more information, visit www.delawarecomedytheatre.com
