The Delmarva Antique Bottle Club will present its 16th annual Antique Bottle Advertising and Collectible Show & Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 7, at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes.
The event will feature about 50 dealers from up and down the East Coast selling bottles, jars, stoneware, small tabletop antiques, advertising and other related memorabilia and collectibles.
Every category of bottle collecting will be represented, including milks, beer, soda, inks, food jars, poisons, figurals, medicine, bitters and historical flasks. Food will be available and a door prize will be given away each hour.
The Delmarva Antique Bottle Club is a nonprofit organization which promotes, fosters and encourages all activities involving the hobby of antique bottle collecting. The club also works to facilitate the exhibition and promotion of bottle and glass research and other related items.
During the annual show, several displays will be judged and awards presented for originality, historical significance and educational interest.
The club holds meetings at 6:30 p.m., the third Friday of each month, except July, August and September, at Beacon Middle School, located on Route 24. Visitors are welcome and membership is open to all who are interested in the hobby of antique bottle collecting.
