Christmas arrives early as
All Saints' preps annual Shop

Christmas arrives early this year as the Episcopal Church Women of All Saints’ Church in Rehoboth Beach and St. George’s Chapel in Harbeson prepare for the 46th annual Rehoboth Christmas Shop. The three-day shop, held Oct. 10-12 at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, will feature an array of unique gifts giving shoppers a head start on their holiday buying.

A variety of shops is coming to the convention center, including seven new vendors and many favorites from past years. Several shops are from out of town and feature one-of-a-kind jewelry, classic home accents, chic clothing, gourmet candies and food, holiday décor, whimsical garden accessories and more.

In addition, the Episcopal Church Women of All Saints’ and St. George’s Chapel offer their special brand of goods. The ladies of St.George’s ECW work long and hard to create lovingly handcrafted gifts, while the Potpourri booth, run by the St. Francis Chapter, sells a medley of gently used, elegant “treasures” that have been collected, sorted and polished over the past year. The ladies of St. Boniface offer a place to sit down and eat a delicious lunch daily, and the Bake Table will have homemade desserts for sale.

Together, the visiting shops and church chapters generate $20,000 in proceeds that help fund local charities in the year ahead. Some of these include, Cape Henlopen Food Basket, Bear Hugs for Babies, West Side New Beginnings, Home of the Brave and Crisis House, to name a few.

The Rehoboth Christmas Shop will be kicked off by a gala preview party on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets will be on sale at the door for $30. The shop continues Friday, Oct. 10, and Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is $2 and kids 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. For more information on the shop call 302-227-7202 or visit www.allsaintsparish-rehoboth.org.
