The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce is still taking registrations for the 13th annual Leo Brady’s Exercise Like The Eskimos. This year’s frosty dip in the ocean is set to take place at noon, Thursday, Jan. 1, on the beach in Bethany.

Registration information and forms can be found online at TheQuietResorts.com, or call 800-962-SURF (7873) to have a registration form mailed. Preregistration for the event closes Monday, Dec. 22. For preregistered splashers the cost is only $25 for adults and $15 for students ages 18 and under. Preregistered splashers are also guaranteed a commemorative towel for drying off after the chilly plunge.

Participants may splash solo or form a team and take the plunge together.

Also, before the swim, everyone is invited to attend the eighth annual Hometown Pet Show at 10:30 a.m. on the boardwalk. Trophies will be awarded to the best-dressed pet, looks most like owner, best gallon-sized pet and best pint-sized pet. All proceeds from the pet show go to the Cats Around Town Society in Ocean View.
