Dance students for Masters of Movement Dance Studio in Lewes will hold a daylong scrapbook crop event from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22, at The Trails of Beaver Creek Clubhouse on Route 9 near Harbeson.
The dancers in the studio’s elite technique program have been invited to participate in Disney’s Magic Music Days at Walt Disney World in April 2010.
The scrapbook crop event is a fundraiser to help the students defray the cost of attending.
While at Disney’s Magic Music Days, the students will have the opportunity to take classes from professional cast members from Disney parks’ live performances such as “Beauty and the Beast,” “Finding Nemo,” “High School Musical” and the numerous park parades and performances. The students will also experience performing in The Magic Kingdom park.
Studio artistic director and owner Nicole Groll, once a Disney cast member in the “Beauty and the Beast” show, feels that this is an “excellent opportunity for the students to experience the unique opportunity that only Disney can offer.
The students will actually have the opportunity to experience a Disney audition process, learn how professional performers rehearse and have the opportunity to dance in a professional atmosphere.”
Cost for the all-day scrapbook event is $35 and includes crop space, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and door prizes. Local vendors from Creative Memories and Stampin’ Up will also be at the event.
Seating is limited and advance registration is required.
