Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s joins
food drive for Delaware Does More
Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty will be participating in the Delaware Does More Campaign, a special effort organized by United Way of Delaware and the Food Bank of Delaware to generate food to ensure Delaware is ready to meet what most agree will be a significant spike in demand for social services this coming winter season.

This year, Delaware Does More is looking to collect 400,000 pounds of food and $100,000.

Each participating organization is able to create and market its own campaign. Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty kicked off its 2nd Annual Holiday Food drive Monday, Nov. 23. Both offices are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday. For convenience, there will be food barrels for donations in the lobbies of both offices.

The food drive will end Monday, Jan. 4. “Giving back to the community is extremely important to our agents here at Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s,” said Justin Healy, broker and owner. “We were able to collect 923 pounds of food for the Delaware Does More Campaign in 2009, and with our second location in Bethany now open, I am hoping we can double that donation for 2010.”

Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty will be accepting nonperishable, boxed and canned food items, and nonfood items such as diapers, toothpaste, mouthwash, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, liquid hand soaps and paper products. The agents of Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty invite all in the Rehoboth community and Bethany community to make this food drive successful and help those who will need help the most, especially during the holiday season.

Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty has an office at 330 Rehoboth Ave., downtown Rehoboth Beach, and at 778 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach.
