Millsboro Art League slates raffle for Dec. 6
Two local artists have each generously donated a work of art as fundraising items for the Millsboro Art League to be raffled off Sunday, Dec. 6, at the Blue Water Grill on Main Street, Millsboro.

Tickets for the raffle can be purchased from any member, at the Millsboro Art League gallery or by calling 302-934-6440 or emailing millsboroartleague@gmail.com.

Proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets will help the league continue to present art shows, art and photography contests, and children’s art programs throughout the year. The cost of the tickets is $5 each or three for $10.

Watercolor artist Elizabeth Collard has donated a framed 27-by-36-inch watercolor titled “Moonstruck Sunflowers” painted on rice paper and valued at $450.

Collard is an award-winning artist whose work has been selected for entry into numerous juried fine arts and fine handcraft art shows. Collard is a juried signature member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society and Potomac Watercolorists.

Digital art photographer Maureen Dyer Ickrath has had her work published in Delaware Beach Life and presented in the 2009 three-month photography show, Biggs Shot, at the Biggs Museum of American Art in Dover.

After a career in graphic arts and as a marketing manager, Ickrath has chosen to concentrate on producing art photos in retirement. “Addy Sea Kayak” is a framed 24-by-28-inch digital photograph of a kayak resting against a beach fence at sunset, valued at $200.
