In addition to the great food, fine wine and flavorful beer, guests will be able to bid on unique auction items donated by many local businesses.

Child’s Play by the Bay, Dr. Judith Gorra, MD of Beacon Pediatrics and the March of Dimes are sponsoring the event. The committee is still looking for local chefs, wine sponsors, corporate sponsors and auction items. To participate in any way, contact Pam Armstrong in the March of Dimes office at 302-225-1020. Tickets are on sale at Child’s Play by the Bay, 1510 Savannah Road, and 302-645-2153, or at marchofdimes.com/delaware.

Funds raised by Matters of Taste support lifesaving research and educational programs aimed at giving every baby a healthy start. In Delaware, premature birth is one of the most urgent infant health problems. It affects approximately 1,500 families and babies in the state and more than half a million babies each year nationally, with the number growing every day.

Babies born too soon are more likely to die, have disabilities and live with lifelong challenges. The March of Dimes is committed to reducing this toll by funding research to find the answers to premature birth and providing comfort and information to families who are affected.

The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health.
