International blues veteran Lucky Peterson will be onstage at Bethany Blues-Lewes 9 p.m., Friday, March 19.
Recognized as a blues master by Keyboard Magazine, Peterson’s blend of straight-ahead jazz, soul and funk keep him on the cutting edge of the blues.
Raised by a bluesman father who owned a circuit roadhouse club, Peterson spent his youth playing with such great musicians as Willie Dixon, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor, Bill Doggett and Jimmy Smith.
Heralded as a musical prodigy, Peterson evolved into a multi-talented artist who plays keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and trumpet, with countless national and international credits to his name.
Presented as part of the restaurant’s ongoing Sydney’s Music Revival, Bethany Blues managing partner Kevin Roberts says Lucky Peterson’s unique blues and energetic artistry embody the type of live music he and former jazz club owner Sydney Arzt are committed to preserving in the Cape Region community.
